The
first European
Champions in the Performance shows
Today
there were the first finals in the performance shows at the 19th
European Championship of American Quarter Horses in Kreuth. The first
were the Showmanship at Halter shows. Here, three European Champion
titles were won by Italy (Page N Machine / Christina Cozzo,
ILikeTheWayYuMove / Rebecca Sala and Version Of A Dream / Vera
Pirola) and one by France ( Blazin Gold / Erik Lecrocq).
Another
European
Champion title was awarded to Techniques Hot News and Marleen Coppens
(NED) who won the Amateur Trail. It was another big success for the
gelding by With Technique, that was e.g. several times High Point
Horse. Silver went to Sheza Radical Glow and Claudia Mauthe (SUI),
bronze to Shes Dun Zipped and Raphaela Rammler (AUT).
The
winner in Amateur Select Trail was Philipp
Roos (SUI) and Technical Nat Image, who also received silver in
Showmanship Amateur Select. Gerold Dautzenberg and LV Larks
Investment took the silver medal in this class, Salvatore Malcangio
(ITA) and Certifiable Peach the bronze medal.
In
Junior
Trail Open, Miss Zippo Principle (owner Guglielmo Passoni, ITA) and
Matteo Sala gave a beautiful presentation winning this class and the
title. The two had already been very successful in yesterday’s
second go round winning one show and placing second in the other.
Matteo Sala also rode Vera Pirola’s Version of a Dream to the
bronze medal. The silver medal was won by Sheza Radical Glow (owner
Claudia Mauthe, SUI) and Karin Prevedel.
There
were really remarkable rides in the Western
Pleasure Youth shows where both gold medals went to Germany. The
winner in the Youth until 13 was Profitableinvestment and Sophia
Raschat. The gelding which has won several medals on European
Championships so far, was able to get the last missing AQHA points
here for the Superior title. The silver medal was won by Many Hot
Assets and Daniela Wagner-Winter, bronze by A New Choco and
Alessandra Ouellet (ITA).
The
European Champion title in the 14-18
class was won by Only Guns And Roses and Philip Knebel with Justa
April Rose and Lena Niebelschütz (LUX) placing second and Cee
Ed Zip and Caroline Coles (GBR) placing third.
The
European Championship
will end on Sunday, August 24. More than 400 horses from all over
Europe have been nominated for Europe’s premier Quarter Horse
event.
