Halter: The first European Champions

The first European Champions of this 19th European Championship of American Quarter Horses in Kreuth were those in the halter shows of the stallions and geldings. The halter shows showed really good quality again.

Philipp-Martin Haug dominates first Go round Junior Working Cowhorse / Gerold Dautzenberg the Amateur Cowhorse

Ten horse-rider-combinations competed in the first go round of the Junior Working Cowhorse, which was dominated by Philipp-Martin Haug. Philipp showed his two mares in an absolutely spectacular presentation. Beautiful smooth reinings and perfect fence work – that’s what Cowhorse should look like! A Smarty Pants and Philipp-Martin Haug placed first with both judges in this class, his other mare Rooster Bunny second. Judge Casey Devitt placed Jackie Starlight and Alex Tutzakov third, while Patti Carter saw CDS Genuine Curlee and Pattrick Sattler on third place.

The Amateur Cowhorse go round was won by Gerold Dautzenberg and his wonderful gelding Sanita Chic Olena. Roman Fabisch and Frekles Lucky Luke placed second, Margarethe Kämpf and Reminics Hope third.

Tomorrow the halter shows mares will follow as well as the second go rounds of the cattle shows. The European Championship will end next Sunday, August 24.
