A reminder
for the Association Annual General Meeting on the 5th
April, starting at 1030.
Venue: Lubenham
Village Hall, Market Harborough, Leicestershire (2 miles west of
Market Harborough on the A4303 – 10 miles from M1 junction 20)
An opportunity to meet up with friends
after the winter, recognise the 2007 award winners, get the latest
information on the 2008 programme, listen to an interesting guest
speaker and to play your part in the management of the Association
and in establishing the Association’s objectives and policies.
If you are a
2007 Award winner, firstly congratulations, and secondly please do
attend the AGM to receive your award. Your achievement is justly
deserved and we all want to recognise, applaud and share the pleasure
of your success with you. Awards will be made before the lunch
break, after the end of business items.
After lunch our Guest Speaker this year
is Johanna Vardon MBE. A long time breeder of successful dressage,
show jumping and event horses, Johanna also initiated the National
Foaling Bank in 1965 after one of her own mares lost a foal. Since
then she has masterminded a staggering 16,000 cases of matching
orphaned foals with foster mares. Sharing her experiences and
knowledge will surely be fascinating. More information about the
National Foaling Bank can be found on www.nationalfoalingbank.com
Tea and coffee will be provided, free
of charge, both on arrival and in the afternoon. An excellent buffet
lunch is also available if booked and paid for (£5) in advance.
A lunch booking slip is attached. We do hope to see you there.
