Affiliates After The Next FEQHA Meeting Provisionally Scheduled For
April 2008
If the event is held
on the same premise as 2007 :-
The Entry Deadline
will be 22nd
June 2009
Entry Fees will be a
minimum of 1500 Euros per team ]
+ 120Euros per horse
[to inc stalls bedding +1 stall for tack] ]
Expect Increases
+ 500Euros per
individual to include stall & tack ]
Each national team will
consist of a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 team members
+ each country will
be allowed to delegate 2 additional riders. The additional riders
results will only be taken into account for the individual standings.
The additional riders can only compete on 1 horse but will be able to
participate in the individual standings in any chosen classes.
N.B.
For the 2007 competition the Danish QHA hoped that countries might
send 2 teams. If the same invitation applies for 2009, ALL youth
members will be notified.
Each team has the use of
the number of horses equal to the number of team members + a
Substitute horse if any team horse falls ill or lame.
The horses do not have to
be owned by the team members.
Each team horse has to
participate in a minimum of 3 classes
3 Team members must
compete in each class with the exception of Western Riding in which
only 2 riders are obliged to participate.
The competition
secretariat has to be notified 1 day in advance of the competition
which rider will be showing which horse in which class.
Any meetings called
by the European Youth Cup Show Management
will have the team “coach” represent the country. Each coach will
be used as the nominator for entries and will be the point of contact
for each country.

EQUITATION, WESTERN PLEASURE
HUNTER UNDER
SADDLE, REINING
HORSEMANSHIP, TRAIL
The European Competition
will be run under AQHA Rules.
Parents
of participating youth riders will have to provide written consent
confirming their children are allowed to participate in the European
Youth Cup competition.
Each team commits to
providing the required insurance for team members and
third parties. The required number of supervisors and coaches is
determined by each team.
Finally each team will be obliged to participate in an opening
ceremony which takes the form of each country introducing and
promoting their country in a time span of 10 minutes.
To
enable the AQHAUK Youth section to attend the next European Cup 2009
as a team it is the provisional intention to adopt the 2005/7
invitation’s rules and regulations as a basis for sending a team to
the next European Youth Cup to be held in 2009. It is proposed that
the following process gets underway commencing with the East Coast
Circuit show at the end of May 2008
The Show Record in
the qualifying classes will account for 85% of the
individual total score and Citizenship will account for 15%. The
Assessment Clinics will not be part of the qualification process.
A team of 5 youths
[maximum] will through competition represent the UK. A further 2
Riders may be chosen as 1st
Reserves and will be able to compete as Individuals if they wish to
do so. Subject to confirmation from the FEQHA and the host nation
there may be an opportunity to send 2 teams. When and if this is
confirmed all interested youth members will be notified.
The team/s will be
chosen on points gained in the qualifying classes at the listed
shows.

Showmanship/Horsemanship
and Hunt Seat Equitation will be the qualifying classes as per the
World Cup. Each youth competitor wishing to qualify must show in a
minimum of 6 of the 9 qualifying shows. If more than 6 shows are
attended, the top 6 individual scores will be counted.
Item 2
A letter of interest
and acceptance from the Youth competitors countersigned by their
parents and/or guardians is enclosed with this information for
completion and return NO LATER THAN 30th
April 2008. to enable AQHAUK to ascertain what interest there is for
this event and to obtain quotes for Insurance etc.
Item 3.
A document under the
AQHAUK banner to be signed by the parents and/or guardians
providing written consent confirming their children can participate
in the competition will be sent out in October 2008 for completion
and return by NO LATER THANJanuary 31st
2009 . This documentation was
previously requested for the 2007 competition and unless there is any
deviation from this procedure this will be required.
In the event of a set of
different circumstances being requested both parents/guardians and
youth competitors will be informed accordingly.
Any updates or
information, change of rules or regulations regarding the event plus
a current points table will be set up on the AQHAUK web site
