Safeguarding Children & Child Protection

For those involved in coaching & teaching children and young people there is a growing awareness of the potential risks this can involve. Here at AQHA-UK we are ensuring all those involved with our Youth Team are CRB checked (Criminal Records Bureau- previously known as police checked)

We are happy to extend this provision not just to our youth coaches but to anyone who is working or volunteering out there with quarter horses and their riders. For AQHA-UK members who undertake paid teaching the cost of a CRB check is £45, for those who work as volunteers the cost is £9. This is the cost we must pay to the BHS who are our central point for this process. We are happy to process these checks for non members but at an additional supplement of £10 per check .
