Can leased horses be shown in AQHA approved shows? |
|
|
Leased horses are ineligible to compete in Amateur or Youth events, since ownership is required to be solely by the contestant or by someone they are immediately related to. When a lease pertains to transfer of rights for breeding purposes only, the owner of record retains sole privilege of competition. Leased horses can be shown in Open classes as long as the exhibitor is not an Amateur member.
