Becki Dixon My name is Becki Dixon and I am sixteen years old. I am currently studying at Goffs School and I am in my last year of school, doing my GCSEs in the summer.
I have been riding horses ever since I could walk and have grown up with them all my life. I have been showing in Western classes since I was six years old, but have only really started competing seriously for the past 2 to 3 years.
I also ride English and have been very successful in the English showing world, competing at many County Level Shows. At home, I have four American Quarter Horses, three of which I ride. Their names are 'I've Been Tardeed', aka 'Louie', 'Aaronpark Louianna', aka 'Bomber', 'Aaronpark Josachaviror', aka 'Josie' and last but not least, 'Air On Tardee', who we all call 'Yogi'. It is with 'Yogi' that I have had most success, being 2005 High Point Youth winner and High Point Novice Youth at the QH2000 Autumn Show.
In my yard there is an English Showing Team called Team Harvey, which I also have the chance to ride for. In the future I hope to work with horses, as it is my passion. Since I am not staying on at school to go into the sixth form, I hope to get a job with horses in America.
I am really looking forward to going to the Youth World Cup in Amarillo and I will make certain I learn as much as I can from this tremendous opportunity to improve my riding abilities. I thank everybody who has helped make this visit possible.
