Hunter and Pleasure Celebration Champions once more from Italy
The fourth
Celebration event was once more part of the Bavarian Summer Show at the
beautiful Kreuth facility, and the show indeed celebrated to disciplines
Western Pleasure, Hunter under Saddle and Longe Line. The quality of the horses
was absolutely fantastic, and the judges had a hard time choosing the
Champions. The class of Western Pleasure and Hunter horses bred in Europe has
increased considerably. The majority of horses in the 2010 Celebration were
bred in Europe, as were almost all of the top three with the exception of the
Pleasure Celebration Champion Wisely Victorious, that was bred in the U.S.A.
Hunter Celebration:
Once more a horse bred by Giovanni Cozzo becomes a Celebration Champion
Both the
Hunter under Saddle and the Western Pleasure Celebration were won by Italian
competitors. In the € 7,000 Hunter Celebration, the Champion was Dont Stress Me
with Stefania Ugolini in the saddle (she had won the 2009 Pleasure
Celebration). Dont Stress Me is owned by the famous Italian breeder Giovanni
Cozzo who also bred the 2009 Pleasure Celebration Champion. The flashy stallion
is by multiple Italian and European Champion as well as top sire Dont Dress Me out of Love That Petty Cash (by triple World
and four times Congress Champion Regal Lark).
Simple Invited
and Lisa Holz (GER) placed second. The stallion bred by the German EGO Ranch
and owned by Arno Dietzel, is a son of Very Inviting out of a mare by
Ironmaker. Simple Invited placed third in the 2009 Longe Line Celebration. The
third place went to Xtreme Asset (by A New Perspective; owner
Giuseppe Ciuffreda, breeder Karin and Ruggero Prevedel) with Moreno Sacchi
(ITA) in the saddle.
Longe Line Champion
comes from Austria once more
The Longe Line
Celebration for 2-year-old horses was added to this event last year as many
competitors were asking for it. The class that offered a purse of € 3,250 was
won by Lisa Schlatter (AUT) showing Reno Jetset Aintblue, a mare bred by Markus
Rensing (Germany). She is by AQHA Champion Aint It The Blues out of Expensive
Jet Set (by Hotrodders Jet Set). Lisa already showed her horse successfully in
Aachen last year as well as during the Austrian Championships. MJ Dressed For Jaz, a
gelding by Dont Dress Me out of Jazzy Remedy, bred and shown by Julia Scharf
placed second, Invite Back By Mac (by Macs Good N Plenty) shown by Sabine Hell
placed third.
Wisely
Victorous wins Pleasure Celebration
The € 13,000 Pleasure
Celebration was the last class of the Celebration Saturday, and for many,
obviously the highlight. In spite
of the final of the Soccer World Championship in South Africa, about 1000
visitors watched the 13 fine pleasure prospects. The winner was Wisely Victorious with Matteo Sala in the saddle, a mare owned by
Sibyl von der Schulenburg (ITA) and bred by Machelle H Haus (USA). Wisely
Victorious is by AQHA World Champion Investing Wisely out of Aprils Good Bar,
an own daughter of NSBA Hall of Famer Zippos Mr Good Bar.
Reserve Champion was Marlanas Hot Krymsun and Marc Schaffer. The mare
owned by Austrian Annemarie Brieger is by triple AQHA World Champion One Hot
Krymsun out of Marlana Special Glow, a
daughter of DQHA Hall of Fame mare Marlana Glow. Marlanas Hot Krymsun was 2009
Longe Line Celebration Champion. The horse was bred by Horst and Elisabeth
Mueller, Germany. Constant Zipper, a mare by A New Perspective, and Ruggero
Prevedel (ITA) placed third.
