Europe’s Premier Western Event at Augsburg, September
8-12, 2010:

Associations present at Americana
15 Booths show everything – from breeds to
disciplines.
Besides high class sport, Americana at Augsburg (September
8-12, 2010) offers visitors an attractive platform of information about almost
everything in western riding. 15 of the mostimportant western associations
present themselves at Americana, most of them around the 16x18 metre enlarged
Forum-round pen in hall 3. NRHA USA is stationed in hall 5 (big show arena)
with Nick Cornelissens answering all questions concerning membership, NRHA
Competition Licence etc. In hall 4, Tennessee Walking Horses will be shown at
the booth of Josef Walkaway Farm.
The large number of associations present at Augsburg
are typical of Americana. Nowhere can visitors get such a lot of information
about all the western breeds and disciplines at one place. Whether, you are a
rookie or a professional, at Americana you will find associations for the western
horse breeds as well as for the promotion of special disciplines like reining,
cutting or barrel race.
The European Reined Cow Horse Association is one of
the associations dedicated to Reined Cow Horse. It has been very active at
Americana for years. Its 2010 events at Americana offer a total purse of
€20.000. Royal Bavarian Cutting Horse Association takes care of the cutting
riders coming from Europe and the U.S.A. to the European Championship Cutting.

Spectacular evening shows
Special Americana highlights are
the two evening shows with their attractive program. The first evening show is
scheduled for Friday, September 10, at 8 p.m.: the “ Reining & Cow Horse
Festival“ with the $ 44,444.44 NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy Open and the € 15.000
added Reined Cow Horse Futurity final in Cow Work (Down the Fence). The second
evening show on Saturday, September 11 is the “Cutting Spectacular“ which
includes the fascination finals of the European Championship both in Cutting
and Working Cow Horse. Both evening shows present spectacular show events as
well.
Attraction for breeders: Stallion Presentation
Ambitious breeders of American
Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas should not miss this: On Thursday,
September 9, at 7 p.m. 17 stallions will be presented in the big show arena.
This event is free for Americana visitors and includes a reining clinic with
Grischa Ludwig and Sylvia Rzepka as well as a reined cow horse clinic with
Markus Schoepfer and Philipp Martin Haug.
Biggest trade fair of its kind in Europe
Americana is not only first class
western sport but lots of entertainment. There is the famous Red Grizzly Saloon
with its great flair and show program as well as the Western Town. Also there
are the trainers’ forum, the Miss AMERICANA election, the Country Music Show and the biggest western
trade fair in Europe with more than 200 exhibitors.

Americana is a whole-show pass which includes entry during all days plus both
evening shows. Of course, one-day tickets or tickets for one evening show are
