ELIGIBILITY
1. Amateurs
residing in countries not contiguous to the United States will be
eligible. Participating countries must
be recognized international affiliates of the American Quarter Horse
Association. Each amateur must be a
current year member of the AQHA.
Applications for international affiliation must be on file with AQHA and
updated annually.
2.
Individual
amateur members may participate at the Bayer Select World
Championship Show; however, they must represent the country in which
they reside. If participating in the
Bayer Select World Championship Show, the individual may lease a horse to avoid
the cost of transporting the horse overseas, or must be the recorded owner of the
horse. However, all records must be complete
in the AQHA office by July 31 of the year of the show.
ENTRY
1. All
international amateurs who wish to compete at the Bayer Select World
Championship Show must have all entries and entry fees to the AQHA Offices no
later than July 31 of the year of the show (not postmarked by that date). Absolutely no late entries will be accepted
and no entries will be accepted via telephone.
2.
Individuals
leasing horses or bringing their own, via transporting, are responsible for the
horse’s feed,
bedding and other maintenance costs required. AQHA is not responsible for the care, safety
or
management of these horses at any time.
Horses being leased must meet all health requirements as
outlined in the
Bayer Select World Championship Show rules and regulations.
3.
Horses
acquired for international competitors may not be nationallyqualified in the United States or
Canada for the Bayer Select World
Championship Show. In addition, horses
secured for competition at
the Bayer Select World Championship Show by an international
exhibitor may not compete in the same
event at the AQHA World Championship Show
or the Ford AQHYA World Championship Show.
(For
example a horse leased to compete in western riding for the Bayer
Select World Championship Show may
not be used in western riding at the AQHA
World Championship Show or the Ford AQHYA World
Championship Show).
4.
Two
horses will be allowed per rider.
CLASSES
-
Four entries per team will be
allowed in each class, in addition to national qualifiers.
2. Unless otherwise indicated in the rules of the
Bayer Select World Championship Show, all class rules of
the
Official Handbook of the American Quarter Horse Association will
apply.
FEES
1.
Fees
for international Amateur members will be the same as nationally qualified
individuals.
(To be paid in U.S.
dollars)
