AQHA.UK Leisure Riding Rrogramme Print E-mail

Why Don't You Join Us?!  Have Fun, Meet People and Relax With Your Horse!

A series of events designed to get you and your horse out on the trail – stunning scenery, good company, fine food, relaxation and quality time with your horse and like minded folk. Also an opportunity to expose you and your horse to other kinds of challenges and experiences - reality riding!!

We welcome all breeds of horse, whether ridden English or western, to join us on the trail - however you need to know that the western trail ride is a leisurely pastime, exploring the countryside and enjoying the view.

Non members of AQHA-UK are also welcome, although if you are member you get a discount on all rides & events.

We provide rides for all levels & abilities – quiet calm relaxed training rides for those new to the trail or who like to slow down from the bustle of day- day life. For those ready for something more challenging we have bridges, streams, bomb craters, moorland, underfoot challenges, wildlife. We do self guided or led rides, overnight camping, cottage holidays, day trips, pub rides, bar bq’s.

The rides also have rosettes, prizes, free raffle/prize draws, 'trail riding T shirts' to purchase or win, and other goodies.

Make Friends and Relax! We normally affiliate at least one ride per year to AQHA Ride Programme in the states and for these events riders get AQHA goody bags, the chance to win a camera, double their Horseback Riding Hours if they participate in the scheme and raise money for charity - an integral part of the programme. In the past we have raised money for ILPH, Kings Lynn Accident and Emergency Service  Lords House Farm and local McMillan Nurses.

ITS NOT JUST HORSES WE CARE ABOUT

At AQHA.UK we not only feel and care passionately about our Quarter Horses, we care about our members too! We are also about having some fun and doing more for our members as an Association.

We know you want to do more than attend shows or simply hack out. Many members have a partner, who while may not be actively involved with Quarter Horses on a daily basis, want to support their partner and share the social side of being an AQHA member.

We have many members who organises riding events for other members, their partners or indeed the whole family. These events include leisure rideouts, BBQs and general 'get togethers'.

If you want to organise a trail ride or event in your area please contact the co-ordinator  to discuss. With your help we can get this programme going across the country and get more of you involved. Organising an event need not be hard work, can be fun and from my experience most trail folk are very appreciative of anything you put on. We can also link some of you together who may wish to join together to have a go at organising something  in your area.
