British Horses at DQHA Championships |

A number of British competitors and their horses have travelled to Aachen for the annual DQHA Championships, gaining gold medals and great placings. Valerie Nalbantian with Absolutelycaptivating and Chips New Groove, Jane Wallace and Make Me Invited amd Whatta Fancy Blaze owned by Adrian Brazier are all at the show flying the British flag. 2009 FEI European Reining Championships Start Friday |

|
Eleven nations competing in three divisions
On Friday, October 9, one of the
major European reining events is coming to Kreuth (Germany). For the first
time, Germany hosts the FEI European Reining Championships. The event attracts
eleven nations who sent their teams and / or individual riders in three
divisions. The event starts ar 11 a.m. with the Junior and Young Riders teams.
In each of these divisions, five teams will be competing plus individual
riders. The senior division follows at 2.30 with the teams from Austria,
Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Great Britain and
The Netherlands plus an individual competitor from Poland.

2009 Supreme Halter Champion |
|
|
Each and every year since 1977, AQHA UK has awarded the Supreme Halter Champion
Award to a pure bred stallion, mare or gelding.
2009's
Champion is Ruth O'Reilly's Poppet Smoked A Jay, a two year old gelding out of
Pendle Poppet and by Jays Smokin Story.
The 2009 Reserve Supreme Champion
Award went to Tracy Haynes' Jays Centrefold, a two year old filly out of
Redgates Tender Reed by Jays Smokin Story.

Judging Rules
1. Each Final will be judged by THREE
Judges
2. Each Judge will provide their placings
for all competitors
Points will then be awarded for each
set of placings as follows :
e.g.12 Competitors e.g.
7 Competitors
1st Place 12 Pts 1st
Place 7 Pts
2nd Place 11 Pts 2nd
Place 6 Pts
12th Place 1 Pt 7th Place
1Pt
3. Where
a Final has more than 12 entries (due to
ties for last place in the qualification process) the same rule will apply.
E.g. 14 entries – 1st place awarded 14 Pts and so on.
4. Where
competitors are disqualified they will still be included for the purpose of
establishing points to be awarded to other competitors but they will not
receive any points themselves.
5. In
the event of any tied placings in the result. It shall cause referral to the three Judges decisions in respect of
their individual placings. (Rules
465B[k] Pge 216 and 466B[e] Pge 217 of
the 2009 AQHA Official Handbook of Rules & Regulations) shall be referred
to. In all ties the Judge’s decisions shall be final.
