Youth World Cup |

 It was a busy first day for the 2008 AQHA Youth World Cup at the AgriPlex in London, Ontario!
There
are 16 nations represented in this year’s competition: Australia,
Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic,
France, Germany, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, The Netherlands,
United Kingdom and the United States.
The first days opening ceremonies included a special performance of the Canadian
Cowgirls mounted drill team, including a trick riding act. The Canadian
Cowgirls also carried in each team’s national flag and presented it to
them on the arena floor.
After lunch,
teams drew for their competition horses, and they had their first
practice rides to get to know them. The second day includes their first
clinics and a visit to Niagara Falls. See the team's first report..

Team Coach Christy Leach has sent the following message.
Hi All
Just to let you know that we all have arrived safe and sound. No
problems with flights when we arrived we then checked in and took the kids to
the NRHA Derby finals. Some very nice horses. Did not stay the entire time but
I suspect that we saw the winning go --- Shawn F scoring a 233!!!
Amazing.
Will ride today AQHA journal want an interview
this morning. Its all go!!!

Once again, time is drawing close to
the AQHYA World Show August 2 – 9 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We
would like to extend an invitation to all youth around the world to
participate in this prestigious event.
Attached are guidelines for leasing
horses or owning horses to be shown at the Youth World Show. If
anyone is interested in this program and has questions, please give
us a call.
Please remember all
paperwork must be complete
by June 30, 2008 to be eligible to participate in the AQHYA World
Show.
