20th European Championship of American Quarter Horses:

„The Best European Championship I ever saw”

„For me, the 2009 European Championship of American Quarter Horses was the best I’ve seen so far,“ said AQHA Director of International Affairs Affairs David Avery after the show. “The quality of horses was amazing. We had a fine team of international judges that included Ricky Bordignon from Italy and Sylvia Katschker from Austria this time. And then, the professional management of Rainer Maierhofer and his team, who made us all feel welcome here at this beautiful facility.” Indeed, the 20th European Championship of American Quarter Horses in Kreuth was a real festival celebrating America’s horse. More than 470 horses from all over Europe had been nominated for this event, together with the best riders and trainers. The show received a lot of attention from the local media who admired the versatility and character of the breed as well as from international horse magazines. These are a few of the many show highlights of this year.
