19th European Championship Quarter Horses starts this Week-end with Cattle and Halter Shows

Europe’s premier Quarter Horse event starts this week-end with the cattle and halter shows: the 19th European Championship of American Quarter Horses at Kreuth / Germany. 381 horses from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands, France, Luxemburg, Denmark and the Czech Republic are nominated for this show which is organized by the Federation of European Quarter Horse Asssociations. Altogether, there are 1617 starts at the moment.

BR announces FEI World Reining Championship Team Members Print E-mail

The British Reining (BR) selection committee has announced the riders to form Team GB for 2008 FEI World Reining Championship in Manerbio, Italy.

The Team will be:

Doug Allen  riding Francesca Sternberg’s Jacs Little Sunrise

or Francesca Sternberg’s Hollywood Dun Star

David Deptford riding John Faulkener’s Old Vaquero

Tammy Greaves riding Patricia Greaves’ The Magic of Whiz or Patricia Greaves’ Jac Wonders Who

Francesca Sternberg riding her own Yelena My Way or her own Just Gotta Shine

Reserve rider is Mark How  riding Mrs Chris Neeld-Leslie’s Animal Magnitism

Commenting on the selection

Adam Heaton, British Chef d’Equipe said:

"As the team manager I am fortunate to have five such talented riders available for the team, and I am very grateful to all the owners for making such excellent horses available. All the riders are used to competing at the highest possible level and this experience will help us achieve our potential in Italy.

The riders will now focus on preparing the horses to peak on 12 September, when the competition starts in Manerbio."

Italy will host the brand new FEI event, the 2008 FEI World Reining Championship in Manerbio, Italy.

Teams from 20 nations will compete for World Championship medals September 11-14.  In past years, a World Reining Championship has only been offered during the FEI World Equestrian Games held every four years.  This year, teams will compete for the prestigious World Championship medals outside the WEG.

 
2008 FEI World Reining Championship Print E-mail
Once again Italy will be hosting a 'first ever' venue on the international reining scene. On September 11-14, the 2008 FEI World Reining Championship will be hosted in Manerbio, Italy, at the Palasturla facility.


The $70,000 Team competition will be held on Friday 11 September and over twenty countries from four Continents are expected to compete. The top twenty riders will then be competing in the $30,000 Individual clean slate competition on Sunday 14 September.

In the past, a World Reining Championship has only been offered during the FEI World Equestrian Games held every four years. Coming up this year, for the first time, teams and individuals will be competing for the prestigious World Championship medals outside the World Equestrian Games which are held every four years.

Initial AQHA World Show Qualifiers Print E-mail
Click on the below to download the list of AQHA World Show Qualifiers.  The full list of Qualifiers and Invitees will be published soon.   Cut off date for World Show Qualification is 31st July, so AQHA have to process show results before the final list can be produced.
