Protection
For those involved in coaching &
teaching children and young people there is a growing awareness of
the potential risks this can involve. Here at AQHA-UK we are ensuring
all those involved with our Youth Team are CRB checked (Criminal
Records Bureau- previously known as police checked)
We are happy to extend this provision
not just to our youth coaches but to anyone who is working or
volunteering out there with quarter horses and their riders. For
AQHA-UK members who undertake paid teaching the cost of a CRB check
is £45, for those who work as volunteers the cost is £9.
This is the cost we must pay to the BHS who are our central point
for this process. We are happy to process these checks for non
members but at an additional supplement of £10 per check .

East Coast Quarter Horse Show Moves to New Home |
|
|
Due to concerns regarding the
suitability of the surface at Towerlands for Western events, the
East Coast Show has made the decision to move the remaining two
circuit shows for 2007.
We are pleased to announce that the June
(22nd - 24th June) and September (7th-9th
Sept) Circuit Shows will now take place at the Horse Creek Farm Arena
(the home of Sovereign Quarter Horses), in March, Cambridgeshire. The
surface at this venue is ideal for all the western disciplines and we
are therefore pleased to be able to offer British Reining classes on
the Friday of the June Show.

 American Quarter Horse Association of the UK (AQHA UK) is proud to announce that Horseware the prestigious rug and blanket manufacturer is to sponsor the 2007 AQHA UK Championship in September. There will be an official launch of the new Rambo Quarter Horse rug in the UK at the show which will mean prizes of rugs, jackets and hats to winners and goodie bags for all competitors.
The Championship will be known as the Rambo Quarter Horse UK Championships and will be held at the Hand Equestrian Centre, Clevedon near Bristol on 28th – 30th September 2007.
A great step forward for all owners of Quarter Horses to have a rug specifically designed for their horses and is endorsed by some of the great names in the western riding fraternity e.g. Bob Mayhew, Al Dunning, Mike McEntire, Cleve Wells and Robbie Schroeder.
