Classes for Pure and Part Bred QH's |
|
|
Classes for which pure and part bred Quarter Horses are eligible will be held at the Heathfield and District Agricultural show on Saturday 23rd May. There is a ridden and an in hand class for Open American Breeds with separate in hand and ridden classes for Saddlebreds and National show horses. There is also an American Breeds Championship. The American Saddlebred Association of Great Britain (ASAoGB) initiated these classes last year and has formally sponsored them this year with the aim of helping to improve awareness of american breeds among British horseman and the general public. CHANGES TO BLUE PROFILE
AQHA UK
FUTURITY SCHEME RULES 2009
Since the start
of the scheme certain anomalies have occurred and several questions have been
asked by some of the competitors and members of the association
With that in
mind and for the benefit of a clearer understanding of the rules by the
membership and the associations’ willingness for transparency that the
additions and/or amendments were put to the annual general meeting held on
Saturday 4th April 2009 for approval.
The additions
and/or amendments to the rules were approved unanimously.
All of the additions
or amendments are based on the general housekeeping of the scheme and do not
change the principles of promoting the quarter horse through membership and
competition.

Futurity
Coordinator

Spring Journal |
|
|
You should be receiving your Spring Journal very shortly. Some of you may receive a Journal with print errors. AQHA UK Council would like to apologise for this. It is thought there is a batch of Journals with these errors, which is entirely out of our control. Our printer has agreed to reprint the Journal, therefore within the next 14 days you will receive an additional copy at no additional cost to the Association, or yourself.

Saturday 4th April -
AGM and the inaugural AQHA UK Awards Evening
A great evening, extremely well supported, well organised with fabulous food, excellent music, and a great way to meet up with everyone after the winter break before the show season starts with the first AQHA Show (QH2000 to be held 1st-3rd May at Horse Creek Farm, March, Cambridgeshire)
With mistress of ceremonies, Fiona Leask announcing the awards, and Chairman David Teideman presenting, the evening was a huge success. Look through the photos taken on the night. Roll on next April.
